Kelmscott Manor was the home of William Morris, founder of the Arts & Crafts Movement. William Morris leased the house jointly with the pre-Raphaelite painter- Dante Gabriel Rossetti in 1871. The Tudor house, which was built in the 15th century, is situated close to the river Thames on the border of Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire. Housing collections of the works of Morris, original tapestries, paintings, furniture and ceramics. The house also contains items connected with Morris's' associates - Burne-Jones, Philip Webb and William De Morgan. The house is set in gardens which reflect the rich botanical content of Morris's designs. Open to the public
