The Kansas City Track Club, founded in 1978, is an adult running club focused on road and trail runs ranging from 3 miles to ultra-marathons. We are a member of USATF (USA Track and Field) and RRCA (Road Runners Club of America). Our sole connection with track running is to hold interval training at Shawnee Mission North on Tuesday evenings at 5:45. For track clubs for kids, contact the USATF (see links above).
The club hosts two social runs each week. On Mondays at 6 PM we run about 6 miles at a nine minute pace starting from Garry Gribble Sports, Ward Parkway Shopping Center (85th and State Line). Many of the MONDAY NIGHT RUNNERS head for the 75th Street Brewery afterward to eat and/or hydrate. Every Wednesday at 6:15 PM for the past 24 years the club has hosted the WEDNESDAY NIGHT RUN AND POTLUCK SUPPER.
