Kathy Schallert is a professional Christian singer, songwriter, and inspirational speaker. She is currently performing around the country and has been especially popular in the Northern California Bay Area for more than 18 years. She has traveled twice to India as musician, missionary, and leader of children's ministries with Maranatha International. Kathy has been a guest on Christian television and radio including Three Angels Broadcasting Network, Son Broadcasting, Hope Tv, and on the cover for the feature story in the May-June 2002 issue of Women Of Spirit Magazine.
To date, she has released two recordings, both of which she has personally written, and arranged all of the songs. Kathy writes with the adept confidence of an experienced songwriter, and lyrically, her music is ardently straightforward, confronting even the hardest of hearts. It is a unique blend of inspirational ballads, acoustic folk, gospel, and blues, creating an original “mixed dish” style all her own.
Kathy’s first CD, “Beyond The Storm”, has had national distribution with great success. This collection of songs is a powerful testimony representing her unfolding understanding of her relationship with God and others. By joining the traditional Word with a unique contemporary sound, her music has touched the lives of thousands, bringing conviction and reconciliation.
