Award-winning romantic comedy author, Kathy Carmichael, is the published author of several novels and short stories as well as magazine columns on the business of writing. She is a popular national, regional and local speaker/lecturer, teaching seminars on various creative writing subjects. She judges numerous writing contests, including the "Writer's Digest Self-Published Contest."

Kathy recently served on the national Board of Directors of the Romance Writers of America and was a member of the Executive Committee. She's an active member and past-president of the Tampa Area Romance Writers (TARA).

Kathy's first romantic comedy, CHASING CHARLIE, made the Independent Bookseller Association's "Booksense 76" extended list. Her second and third books received the prestigious Dorothy Parker/RIO Award of Excellence, presented by the Reviewers International Organization.
