Description
Katherinewalk.org started out as a fundraiser in 1998 to raise money to send Katherine and her brother Colin to Ability Camp, a fantastic place south of Toronto, Canada for children learning to live with Cerebral Palsy. Both Katherine and Colin are shown on the Ability Camp homepage. The Hyperbaric Oxygen treatments and Conductive Education therapy sessions have been very beneficial and the children have made measurable gains. Colin no longer has seizures and Katherine began talking, sitting up unassisted, and standing with support for short periods of time. The fundraising campaing was a success thanks to many friends who are forever in our prayers, but CP is a life-long struggle and we needed a longer term solution. Cicumstances occurred that afforded us the ability to offer the products we do at very reasonable prices. Katherinewalk is now a "for-profit" business but has the same goals as before.
