Simply put shoujoai is lesbianism. Stories about girl-girl love. What makes this different from yuri is that shoujo-ai tends to deal with the sweeter and more innocent side of love while yuri has more sex in it. Yes we are well aware of the fact that in Japan there is no distinction between shoujo-ai and yuri, however in North America the majority of people have come to veiw shoujo-ai as something different from Yuri. I've been studying the trend for years now and seeing as the mass population of fans decided that this is what Shoujo-ai means then that is the term we shall use. As such I intend to keep to that definition.
Because we are based in Canada and decided that it would be a good idea to show the fact. This way we are following Canadian laws and don’t have to worry about homophobic idiots who want to complain about us. We can just point out that we are part of one of the top 10 largest gay populations in the world. So complaining about such a thing is futile.
