- IFA has evolved from a combination of the traditional martial arts and a modern proven training programme, which has produced international championship fighters. The I.F.A has adopted a flexible Freestyle Syllabus, allowing students to compete in a range of competitions from Light Contact, Full Contact, Kickboxing or Thai Boxing. Thus, students wishing to gain competitive experience have a wider choice of styles to choose from. The chief instructor of the IFA is adamant that whilst traditional martial arts disciplines should be practised, new techniques and training methods must continually be introduced.
