About KalaHeoFoundation.org

In 1991, Kalāheo High School was awarded the U.S. Department of Education's Blue Ribbon Schools Award for academic excellence. This came with a $4000 cash prize. It was decided by faculty and staff to use this as "seed" money to create a non-profit foundation. The Kalāheo High School Foundation was established in 1992. The foundation first hit the internet in 1994 when alums Steven Loretero and Sandi Schneiderman created the first web page.
