A fantastic man who had respect for the human values A rhyme of Dr. Kabir Stori is translated by Dr. Hatef Mokhtar in English which is as follows: "If you come to Stori's grave sometime, pray for me in Pashto, because I am a lover of Pashto" This rhyme by Dr. Stori clearly shows that how much he loved his nation, culture and language. He was a true lover of Pashto. The whole literature written by Stori proves that he was an excellent poet and writer in Pashtoon region who showed his love for Pashtoon through his outstanding poetry. Kabir Stori, doctor of natural sciences (Dr. rer. nat) Diplom Psychologist is Pashtoon (Pakhtoon). He was belonging to Mirdadkhel tribe which is sub-tribe of Yousafzai Pashtoon tribe. Stori, son of Lal Mahammad Khan, was born on 06.04.1942 in Kunar / Pashtoonkhwa (Afghanistan). He finished his basic education form an elementary school in Khas Kunar and later on from Kabul the Rehman Baba Lycee (High School). During his schooling days he was one of the outstanding students who had his impression on his teachers and fellows and was predicted to do really good in his career. From the very early age, Dr. Stori´s love for his nation and culture was known to all who knew him. Dr. Stori studied in Germany at the universities of Frankfurt, Cologne and Marburg Psychology with Political Science, Sociology and Philosopy. Dr. Stori started studying various forms of socialism since 1968. However, he was a chairman of the Afghan Students Association, and further more, he was deeply involved in contacts with the student Movement SDS and a study of critical thoery of the society of the Frankfurter School. During these days, Dr. Stori believed that Pashtoonwali (a traditional socio-political system governing the lives of the Pashtoons) and democratic norms are not contradicting to each other but in fact they are almost the same because Pashtoon code of conducts are based on values and democratic concernes. The concept also corresponded with the thoughts of national leader Bacha Khan (Fakher – e – Afghan, Proud for Afghan), who impressed and influenced him a lot. Dr.Stori was a follower of forceless philosophy of Bacha Khan for national unity, independence and the well-being of the Pashtoon Nation. Dr. Stori was a member of "International Association of Applied Psychology“. In 1973 Dr. Stori started to work for the Voice of Germany (Deutsche Welle) as Announcer, Translator and Editor in the Pashto Service. This was also provided a great opportunity for Stori to be his national language ambassador and he tremendously worked for his language through media. In 1981 Dr. Kabir Stori was joint founder of Pashtoon Social Democratic Party (PSDP) and he was the first elected chairman of PSDP. In the world of the poetry and literature he represented the progressive school of thought of Ajmal Khattak who is the father of the Pashto literature.
He was Co-founder and Chairman of the following Organizations: 1966: Afghan Students Association in Frankfurt/a.M., first of its Kind in Europe 1972: General Union of Afghan Student 1976: National Liberation Union of Pashtoons and Baluchs in Frankfurt/ a.M
