My wife Mary and I came to Battlement Mesa from Waterloo, Ia. We took a while to travel the state looking for the right place for us. It wasn't rocket science when it came to selecting Battlement Mesa. Beautiful mild seasons, ten months of golf here. Battlement is also very affordable for Colorado standards without giving up the amenities.
Speaking of golf. We have one of the finest public course's statewide. I should know. In my early years I was a teaching golf professional in the south and midwest. I played the P.G.A. tour in 1969 and 1970. What a great experience! My wife Mary is a Minnesota born gal who was raised in Iowa. She loves the small amount of snow we get here along with mostly above freezing temperatures in January and Feburary. Neither of us miss the midwest winters. We have one daughter and son-in-law who live in Colorado Springs with our first GRANDSON! WOW! How good can it get. Stop by and say hello. I would love to show you around.
