He has posted wins at 3 3 different Dirt Tracks during this time. Since 196 6 Jack has made Fonda Speedway in the small Town of Fonda, NY, (where racing is not just a sport, it is a way of life) his home track. Jack holds just about every record there is to be held in the Big Block Modified division, including Wins and Track Championships. Jack was born in Schenectady, New York on September 2nd, 1944. He's the son of Rollie Johnson who was a Sprint car driver himself. Growing up in a racing family his father Rollie has inspired Jack's life and career. If you look in the photo gallery there is a photo of Jack at age 4 in his dad's car. Jack inherited the nickname Jumpin' from Jack Burgess for his aggressive and uncanny way around the track. Years later in the year 200 5 Jack's only son Ronnie Johnson, is currently an up and coming star on the DIRT Circuit. For Ronnie, racing has been his life as he has been by his father's side since childhood. It's no wonder he is having such great success. But Jack, this racing phenomenon is not ready to pass the torch to his son yet as he prepares for another year of racing for the year 200 5 .
