Description
Julia Saradjian, (Joujou) was born in Abadan, Iran into an Armenian Heritage. She started painting at the age of thirteen with a famous art teacher in Tehran, Iran named Bazile. As her primary education she learned the art of reproduction of the Masters such as, works from Surikoff, Michael Angelo , Renoir, Monet, Rembrandt, and Gainsborough.
She was praised for her talent and her outstanding painting techniques, consequently was awarded several scholarships to Otis Fine Art Institute and Art Center College which she attended with high enthusiasm. With all the new excitement in her life she chose Fine Arts as her primary interest in education, and finished her AA degree in Fine Arts from Los Angeles City College.
In 1972 she decided to move to Europe where she would find all the original works of art that she had learned about throughout these years. In London she registered in a private school called Byam Show School of Fine Arts and Design. There she learned Etching and Lithography while visiting all main Galleries and Museums, the private exhibit of “Munch” one of her favorite Art Forms The Expressionist, and from there she traveled to Paris, The Louvre Museum, visited The Rodan Gallery, and many other sights.
