About Johnny Mac's
In July 2001 Johnny Mac, at 41, had his 2nd mid-life crisis (The 1st had been his switch, 2 years earlier, from 20 years of accounting, clerical stuff to Sydney courier work, and much more fun).
Stepping in & out of the car 40 times a day, plus 32 years of soccer, had worn his right hip cartilage away (doctors call it osteoarthritis). He couldn't work for 2 ½ years, and got "really bored".
In March 2004 he did a tax preparers course with one of the big tax mobs and worked for them from July to November preparing over 300 tax returns, both manual & on computer.
