- JohnMantey.Com has been a personal dream of mine ever since about the year 2001. I realized at that time that the World Wide Web was not going away (even after the dot com bust) but rather it was going to change the world as we knew it to be. I just did not comprehend that it was going to insert itself into our daily lives in the blink of an eye. In 1997 when I first became aware of this newly inducted technology that is commonly referred to today as the Internet (just two short years after buying my first cell phone.) I was clueless to its potential. Well, here I am in 2006 just nine years after the World Wide Web was launched to John Q. Public and all I can say is WOW!
