I started the company after attempting to place a catalog order. I spotted a beautiful, simple necklace on black leather cord. I wanted brown but my special order couldn't be accommodated. I decided that if I could find the beads, I could make the necklace. I didn't find the exact beads but the ones I found were close enough. I love that necklace and wear it often. And I found I really enjoyed the whole process, from buying the beads to designing the pieces to the actual creation.
