About JM Electric Company

JM Electric Company was started in 1987 by Jim Mellard, Sr. in Corpus Christi, Texas. Jim started as an apprentice electrician and rose quickly through the work ranks to Foreman and then Shop Foreman of a major Electrical Contractor before starting his own company. In addition to Jim, the company has grown to include Journeyman electricians, service trucks and all equipment required to be a full service contractor.

We are proud members of the Associated Builders and Contractors, Independent Electrical Contractors, International Association of Electrical Inspectors, the Better Business Bureau of Corpus Christi, Texas and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

We have taken part in a critical environmental awareness program for office buildings in addition to providing electrical support to NAS - Corpus Christi Facilities.
