The Junior League of New Orleans
Description
The Junior League of New Orleans has a powerful history of carefully researched, valuable service to the New Orleans community. In its 80 years of existence, the Junior League of New Orleans has provided funds and organizational direction to more than 100 community projects and activities, and devoted some $4 million and 1.5 million volunteer hours to our mission of promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community.
Today, we are the 10th largest of the Junior Leagues with more than 2000 members. Many of this region's most effective and enduring organizations were originated and developed by the Junior League, including the Louisiana Nature and Science Center, the Parenting Center at Children's Hospital, and the Preservation Resource Center.
Please read on to find out specifically who we are, what we do, what are our community projects and activities, and what are our past accomplishments.
