The Junior League of Chattanooga - Home

Description

The Junior League of Chattanooga is a volunteer organization for women interested in making a positive impact in their communities. Founded in 1917, the League is the second oldest in the South and is part of the Association of Junior Leagues International.

The Junior League of Chattanooga empowers women through leadership training and development to take action in their communities. Members of the League are accomplished collaborators who build coalitions, identify community needs, and develop effective and responsive programs to meet those needs.

Funds raised through efforts like the Bargain Mart and Tour du Jour have enabled the League to be instrumental in such programs as the Chattanooga Nature Center, Mini Grants for Teachers, the Aquarium’s Discovery Falls Gallery, and partnerships with Girls Incorporated, Habitat for Humanity, and the United Way. In its 85 years, the League has given back to the Chattanooga community close to $2 million and 425,000 volunteer hours.
