- A periodical archaeological publication 'Journal of Intercultural and Interdisciplinary Archaeology' (JIIA) has been online since 2003. Since 2005, said journal has also had a linked disciplinary Repository in line with the Open Access Database protocol (first using MyOPIA, MySQL Online Publications Index Administration software, OAI-PMH compliant, created by University College London, and now (2007) Eprints, software developed by the School of Electronics and Computer Science of the University of Southampton). The Journal had the privilege of being placed in the National Library online catalogues of several countries straight away. You can read more (in English) about the Journal and its growth in the presentation portal (soon to be renewed and updated) at http://www.jiia.it/ . The first issue of JIIA, in 2003, no called version 01, was a static site to be found at: http://v01.jiia.it/index.html; the next version (then called version 02), became dynamic through a presentation portal and through JIIA MyOPIA Repository, Open Access Repository. At present the Repository includes the JIIA EPRINTS Repository; the present online portal will soon be renewed and become version 03.
