JEM Restaurant Management Corporation was founded back in 1956 by Joseph F. Desmond. JEM started with one Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant and has now grown to fifteen KFC’s, twenty-three Wendy’s and JEM Farms one of the largest walnut ranches in North America. JEM currently employs nearly 1,200 full and part-time employees in Kings, Tulare, Fresno, Madera, Santa Clara, San Mateo and Butte counties.
