Description
Jedford Collies is situated at Douglas Park, a small rural area South-West of Sydney. We have an acre of land where our dogs are free to run.
The Jedford prefix is derived from a combination of our surnames. All at Jedford have military backgrounds and so we choose our pedigree names using a military theme (Jedford Forward Scout, Jedford Battle Honours etc).
We chose our first Rough Collie, 'Foxlorien Jazza Belle' (Jazz) as an eight-week old puppy from Foxlorien Collies about eight years ago. Thus began our love affair with this noble Collie Rough. Shortly after bringing Jazz home we decided she needed a canine companion, and we chose 'Letchworth Electra Glide' (Quinn) from Letchworth Collies. Both girls were show dogs, however Quinn sustained a leg injury from a car accident and was unable to continue her show career. Jazz went on to be awarded the title Australian Champion.
