We are located in Charlotte, North Carolina the Queen City of the New South approximately an hour and a half drive from the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina and Virginia.
Ivy Creek Recordings began in January of 1991 with the release of our first album, Blue Ridge Mountain Music. We felt after visiting many gift shops along the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina and Virginia, there was a need for authentic mountain music by authentic mountain musicians. Additionally, we felt that visitors also wanted some insight into the history and culture of the region. This compelled us to include historical information with our albums.
As the years have passed and we have added other albums, thousands of you all over the world have told us over and over again that we were correct. With your help, we have grown to be a supplier to National Parks, museums, excursion railroads, gift shops and educational facilities as well as mail order customers worldwide.
