Ivy Brooks graduated from New York University Tisch School of the Arts and was recognized as "Best Director" in her graduating class and honored for "Excellence in Filmmaking." Fascinated with the human spirit and storytelling, Miss Brooks went on to direct many award winning documentaries. It was this passion for storytelling that inspired her photojournalistic approach to shooting photography.
Ivy’s talent for making people feel comfortable allows her to capture genuine moments that would otherwise go unrecorded. Ivy shoots in a non-obtrusive way, and her subjects rarely notice her presence. This candid style of shooting has been a gateway for remarkable photographs. "I anticipate what is going to happen next. I am aware and conscious of everything going on around me. My favorite shots are the intimate moments between a man and a woman, a time when they believe they are truly alone with each other and I already popped off a roll of film. "
