Ivedon Farm: Relax In Rural Ivedon

Description

About Ivedon Farm

A carefully restored farmhouse enjoying a sunny aspect with comfortable spacious accommodation and many attractive features in a beautiful tranquil setting situated on a hill with glorious views. Woodland behind and rolling fields all around. Peaceful walks and plenty of wildlife to see. Many years ago Ivedon Farm produced cider from it's own orchards where farmworkers and locals came to enjoy the fruits of their labour. Still today the apples are harvested in Autumn. In the Summertime the beef cattle are out in the fields with their calves. In Winter they are housed in a cattle shed and fed silage which is grass collected in Spring and stored under plastic sheeting. The milking herd is kept at another farm in the village , but the young stock are reared here. The Pring family have farmed in Awliscombe for many generations. There are numerous shops to browse around In Honiton, many unique. Excellent places to eat in the town and the surrounding villages which are well worth a visit to see pretty thatched cottages and welcoming inns.
