- Like many in today's IT world, I didn't take the direct route to my present profession. I majored in Greek literature and linguistics at Birmingham University in England, graduating first class with special honors, and also spent a year at Saloniki University in Greece. After spending some years travelling in Europe and Asia I ended up in Germany, where I have been living since 1978.
