- Summer 2006. Struck by the apparent lack of affordable, contemporary jewellery that was at once accessible without being generic, 'throw-away' or fussily crystal-encrusted, or else distinctive without being prohibitively alternative or tirelessly 'boho'/ethnic, London-based graphics whizz and bag-designer, Noam, and Kendal - a freelance artist and singer working as a PA - decided to quit their high-pressured London jobs and team-up to create a jewellery brand that would offer customers a stylish range of jewellery with enough individuality and sufficiently diverse influences to make it interesting and distinctive, but with strong, classically-inspired shapes to make it versatile and enduring.
