Isola Ceramics-Deruta Italian Ceramics, Majolica, Hand Painted Dinnerware - Isola Ceramics

Description

There is nothing that better describes a style of life than the objects, colors and design of a house. This is why the typical Italian home...from Roma to Napoli, Genova to Palermo, Rustic country farmhouses to sleek modern lofts in Milan all have one thing in common. "Color"- a fundamental element in Italian life. Whether it be a traditional piece of Deruta ceramic dinnerware or a modern piece of Murano glass, each of our pieces is as unique as the artist that created it.With each day that passes, our business continues to grow. What started as a concept to bring aspects of Italian design to Los Angeles has evolved into Isola, Italian Home Collection. This fusion between European design and American ingenuity began in Milan, Italy and celebrated it's U.S. arrival with the opening of the Isola showroom in June of 2003. Since it's innauguration, Isola has been featured in many national, international and local publications including; The Los Angeles Times, Shelter Interiors, Bon Appetit, Los Angeles Magazine and Vogue( Italia).

The concept for Isola was born, like most things in Italy.... at the table. It was at the table in a little trattoria outside of Genova, where brothers, Marco, Matteo and Alberto Crovetto along with American partner Brooke Noelle, developed the idea to import classic Italian tableware to the United States. There is something about the Italian table that says, "Romance". The table settings are colorful, the conversation is lively and the wine......well, the wine is a whole other story!!! Shortly after that memorable meal, we took our first trip to Umbria. From that day forward, we began our search for unique pieces that could compliment our collection. From Milan to Sicily, our regional Italian ceramics, murano glass and unique jewelry pieces are of the highest quality available. We hand select each of our pieces for quality and timeless beauty. We also work closely with interior designers and architects to create custom design elements for the home. No matter how large or small the project, Isola and our talented design team can provide the inspiration and customization needed to complete your project. Specializing in hand painted Italian ceramics and home accessories. We invite our customers to step away from the hectic american lifestyle-to Italy, where art and design are still a top priority. Where people actually stop to smell the roses. We invite you to stop.....and apprieciate the colors, patterns and beauty of taditional italian majolica pottery.
