The Islamic Community Center of Des Plaines was established in 1989 for Muslim worshipers living around Des Plaines. All prayers and religious activities are carried out at old house purchased in 1989. "Al-Hamdo-lillah ".
The Islamic Community Center of Des Plaines has been conducting religious activities in a masjid, which is housed for the last twelve years in a single-family residence. It is a blessing of Allah (SWT) that we were able to acquire two adjacent plots on sale, and now we are in a possession of 1.75 acres of land. Allhamdulillah, we have been granted a Special use permit to construct a brand new masjid at this location, by the city of Des Plaines zoning board. Insha Allah, the proposed masjid is going to serve all the Muslims in the surrounding suburbs for many generations to come.
