Isabella County is located in the heart of Central Lower Michigan. We are excited to be celebrating our Sesquicentennial this year. There will be many events scheduled throughout the county to celebrate our 150th birthday. On February 11, 1859 the state legislature organized Isabella County and a commission was appointed by the governor to establish the county seat at Isabella Centre.
