Organized in 2001 and mustered into competition on August 9, 2001, the current Iredell Blues (4th North Carolina State Troops, Company A) became members of the North-South Skirmish Association, otherwise known as the N-SSA and the Carolina Region. The home of the Iredell Blues skirmish team is known as Fort Allison in Statesville, North Carolina where they have one of the largest N-SSA ranges in the south.
