I.R. Wilson Consultants Ltd., founded in 1983, is one of the largest heritage consulting companies in the Canadian west as well as the longest incorporated in British Columbia. We offer a full suite of consulting services in heritage-related fields including archaeology, anthropology, ethnohistory and history. Projects range from office-based overview assessments and archival research, to archaeology training programs, to field surveys and excavation programs.
We have conducted over 600 archaeological projects in western Canada. Our clients include developers, forest companies, provincial and federal agencies, utility companies, private landowners as well as First Nations and Tribal Associations. (List available on request.)
Our office located in Victoria is ideal for conducting background or documentary research when we must access materials located at the Archaeological Planning and Assessment's Heritage Resource Centre, the British Columbia Archives and Records Services and at the Surveyor General Branch. In addition to offering administrative support, our office includes laboratory facilities, an in-house library, as well as a computer mapping studio.
