"Read in the name of your Lord" (96/1) Our name IQRA, which means "Read!" or “Recite!” in Arabic, very well summarizes our vision. It is the first word, the first command and the first verse revealed to our beloved Prophet, Muhammad (peace be upon him). As we are ordained to "read/recite in the name of our Lord" so shall we do. The first thing that the beloved Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) did in Mad?na was to build a masjid, Masjid al-Nabaw?, and establish a community around it.
