- The Iowa Grants Guide (IGG) grew out of an increasing demand for information on organizations that provide financial support to non-profit groups, educational institutions, and individuals in the state of Iowa. With need and interest growing, a partnership formed between the Iowa Council of Foundations (ICOF), the Iowa Nonprofit Resource Center and the University of Iowa to fill this void with a resource that would list funding sponsors known for supporting Iowa projects and Iowans. Initial planning made it clear that a web based publication would be easier to update and maintain than any hard copy book.
