The IntraLase Method
- The bladeless IntraLase Method uses tiny, rapid pulses of laser light to create the corneal flap—not handheld metal microkeratome.
- Pulses of laser light pass through the outer layers of the cornea and form microscopic bubbles at the exact depth and position predetermined by the physician.
- The IntraLase Method allows for great control and accuracy over handheld microkeratomes, which are limited in to cutting the corneal flap as a single one-dimension incision.
