Interior Impressions is a small personable interior design firm, started nearly 25 years ago by Marilyn Poling ASID, the principle designer. Her business manager Benda Bushell has been with the firm nearly 17 years. Design projects range in size from one room to entire houses. Ms. Poling's ever expanding base, today, spans east and west coasts with installations ranging from San Francisco, Manhattan's east side, Florida, and the private island of Mustique in the West Indies. Her latest design project, near completion, is a newly built 7-bedroom beach house on the Delaware shore. Ms. Poling's award winning interior design has appeared in "House Beautiful", "Veranda Magazine", "Southern Accents", and "Traditional Home"; she is frequently quoted in the Washington Post and the New York Times, undeniably Ms Polings praises have not gone unsung.
Ms. Poling is a graduate of the University of Rochester. Her experience in interior design spans nearly 25 years in the Washington D.C. area. Ms Poling established Interior Impressions, located in Bethesda, Maryland, in 1978. She is a professional member of American Society for Interior Designers. Ms. Poling is extensively trained in the art of faux painting. She and her interior design firm staff specialize in woodgraining, blended walls, marbleizing, antiquing, and painted furniture. She's the proud recipient of "House Beautiful's Ten Best Showhouse Rooms" award.
