Description
Since 1995 the last 11 years I've run my own business in Alexander City, Alabama Interiors by Shannon. I build classy high quality one off custom leather interiors in street rods, hot rods, street machines, show cars and trucks. I'm a one man show, no employees. I've developed my own style of interior design which has successfully satisfied many hardcore, discriminating Street Rod enthusiasts. My interiors are not budget interiors or kits. I only work with the best materials available. Some of the materials include Imported European leather, OEM leather, exotics, Ultra Suede, wool and synthetic carpeting. I do not work with leather alternatives, vinyl or crushed velvet as much. Based on the magnitude of the job, it takes me four to six weeks to design and build a custom interior. Some of my high end jobs have then over two months to complete. Before I am able to start the design process, the vehicle must be in the shop. Each interior is completed one at a time. All designs are fabricated to fit the personality of each car. Each month I average two cars in the shop. My custom upholstery has won Best Interior Awards at shows like GoodGuys, NSRA and World of Wheels. My business Interiors by Shannon has been featured in magazines and two "how to" books. The magazines were Auto Trim & Restyling News, the March 1999 issue and Southern Rodder, the March 2000 issue. In 2002 Ken Wickham included my shop in of his books "Standard Guide to Build Street Rods" and "Building Street Rods". I've also had my work featured in automotive publications such as Southern Rodder, Super Chevy, Hot VW, Super Rodder, Popular Hot Rodding Magazines. Most recently Richard Boyd's 1966 Nova was on the cover of May 2006 Southern Rodder. I invite you to give me a call concerning your new project or a make over.
