About Diocesan Networks

Diocesan networks are composed of all Integrity members in a diocese or state. Their primary missions are to monitor local issues of concern and organize responses. Each network has a volunteer coordinator, who is appointed by their Integrity regional vice president. Regional vice presidents are the primary liaison between national Integrity and diocesan networks.

Networks are intended to supplement chapter, not replace them. Normally, networks are established in dioceses without chapters. However, a network may be established in a diocese with an existing chapter if the chapter cannot effectively minister to the entire diocese because of size or other constraints. In such cases the network coordinator and chapter leaders are encouraged to work closely together to define roles and responsibilities.

Networks members communicate primarily through e-mail lists, supplemented by postcards for those without e-mail access. The coordinator facilitates communication within the diocesan network and keeps national Integrity informed of local issues. Coordinators must have e-mail and subscribe to INTEGNEWS-L or Lightspeed. An Internet mailing list has been created specifically for coordinators.
