Jamieson Insurance has been a family owned business since 1947. Although the agency has grown since then, it has never abandoned its principles of service to you, our customer. Currently, we have a dedicated staff with over 115 years of experience in the property-casualty insurance industry. We are a "mid-size" agency and our goal is to treat our customers with fair, prompt and courteous service.
Large, national companies require stiff gross written premiums which forces agencies to have larger staff and outside producers to maintain the volume requirements. Automation costs for hardware and software are also driving larger organizations so these cost can be spread across a larger commission base. Our agency does not sell "commissions". We don't try to sell the coverage with the highest commission rate and/or premium dollars. We sell the best coverage for the most competitive price. We have the personnel and automation tools to service your business and personal insurance needs in a first class manner.
Since the Financial Services Modernization Act, there has been an acceleration of agency purchases by banks. Many agencies in our trade area have either sold out or merged with larger organizations and banks. Our agency intends to stay "independent" so we can pursue our business philosophy of "taking care of the customer". We want to develop strong relationships with all of our clients, regardless of the size of the account. We will treat you as a person; not a number.
