The Innocents Foundation of Australia is a soon-to-be-established, not-for-profit organisation which investigates claims of wrongful conviction. Similar organisations operate in Australia, the United States of America, Canada and the United Kingdom. The Foundation has its roots in the Victorian Innocence Project and later the University of Melbourne's Innocence Project which was discontinued in April 2007.
