- Ince & Co is an international commercial law firm with ten offices worldwide.
Our first office was founded in 1870 in the City of London. The firm began its international expansion in 1979 through the opening of our Hong Kong office.
Since then, and in response to client demand, we have opened offices in Singapore (1991), Piraeus (1993), Shanghai (2000), Hamburg (2001), Le Havre and Paris (2002), Dubai (2006), Monaco (2011)and Beijing (2012)
Our clients range from major international corporations to smaller companies, sole traders and private individuals. We practise English, French, German, Greek, Hong Kong and PRC law. Ince & Co Singapore has entered into a Formal Law Alliance, the Ince Law Alliance, with local law practice Incisive Law LLC. Members of Incisive Law provide Singapore law advice and represent clients in both the Singapore Courts and in domestic and international arbitrations.
We have seven core business areas: aviation, business & finance, commercial disputes, energy & offshore, insurance & reinsurance, international trade and shipping.
Much of our business is contentious and we have significant expertise in international commercial disputes. At the same time our lawyers provide clients with advice on a wide range of non-contentious matters including contracts, corporate issues, employment, finance and property.

Shipping & Piracy
Ince & Co’s experience of acting on some of the high-profile piracy cases in Somalia, the Niger Delta and the Malacca Straits means we are well-placed to give advice to all interests.
The recent increase in piracy incidents and hijackings of ships in the Gulf of Aden and the Indian Ocean has prompted much industry debate over the phenomenon and how best to deal with it. Ince & Co advises owners, charterers and cargo interests on all aspects of piracy incidents, covering the legal and practical aspects of responding to a hijacking, release of vessels, insurance and mitigating the risk of such incidents reoccurring.
