About Us
In The Light was started in early 2000 by a seasoned veteran of event photography, Steve Graves. After graduating from the UK College of Communications in the late 80’s, Steve partnered the start of an event photography company that went on to become one of the largest in the Southeast. After 7 years, with clients from all over Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia and Ohio, Steve decided to hang up his lens and pursue avenues closer to his degree in communications.
In the late nineties, the photography industry began to squirm, for change was about to occur that would impact the photography industry forever. In just a few short years, great technological advances occurred making it possible to provide products and services that one had previously only dreamed of.
This marriage of communications technology with photography soon prompted Steve to begin a new company, In The Light Photography that would use the benefits of this new technology to provide customers with such cutting edge products as true digital 4x6 photographic proofs, color and black and white prints at the same cost, and customizable templates, services such as internet proofing and product delivery times in as little as 120 days.
