Intec Pharma is the developer of a breakthrough oral delivery platform that extends the absorption window in the gastrointestinal tract to deliver controlled release, gastric retention for a wide range of new and existing molecules. Our platform technology opens new opportunities for companies whose drug development has been hindered by the challenge of limited absorption, and offers an important added value by extending product life cycle management opportunities in the ethical and generic drug markets. Intec Pharma was established in 2000 and is located in Jerusalem , Israel .
Our vision is to deliver more effective medications to more patients with our Accordion Pill ™ products based on the Gastric-Retentive Dosage Form (GRDF) proprietary technology. This is being achieved through cooperation and partnerships with pharma colleagues in applying proprietary Accordion Pill ™ products to a wide range of existing medications.
Intec Pharma actively identifies target drugs, either in generic form or close to patent expiration, where increased gastric residence time could offer a competitive advantage should new formulations be developed. Intec carries out development until the end of Phase I, after which the formulation is either out-licensed for further development with a partner or continues to II in-house.
