Institute for Local Government
Description
Mission. The Institute for Local Government is a forward-thinking source of research and information for California's local officials. Although the Institute is the nonprofit research arm of the League of California Cities, the Institute's materials help city, county and special district officials.
Leadership. A board of directors familiar with local agency challenges guides the Institute's work. The board is committed to helping local officials serve their communities in the most well-informed and effective manner.
Access to Decision-Makers. Because of the Institute's close working relationship with the League and other associations representing local government, the Institute is in daily contact with local officials and their concerns. Once resource materials have been created, the Institute has access to key local agency communications channels to assure that Institute materials reach their intended audiences.
