Founded upon the belief that the arts provide an essential mode for the expression and investigation of identity, illume productions is committed to bringing forth projects that combine original documentary film with other media and companion educational initiatives.
We aim to reach broad and diverse audiences, drawing viewers into ongoing dialogues and discussion. While grounded in history and research, each project is prospective: presenting important issues that face individuals, communities, and nations today and will continue to significantly shape their lives in the future.
Dance Cuba: Dreams of Flight ( Danza Cuba: En Sueños Volar ) is a feature documentary film completed in January 2004. Several other projects are in various stages of development and production.
