International Fashion Machines, Inc. is a recognized innovator in electronic textiles and textile design. International Fashion Machines is the brainchild of artist and technologist Maggie Orth. Located in Seattle WA, it is a mulitfaceted art and technology studio, where we conduct research, create unique design products and beautiful artworks.
At IFM, we invent our own, exclusive proprietary electronic textiles. These unique materials literally weave, tuft, sew or embroider electronic yarns and materials directly into the textile itself. IFM's textile design methods also look to the future, combining traditional textile practices with the latest in computational design and manufacturing techniques. Our high quality, exclusive, electronic textile products are rigorously tested for safety and durability.
IFM also operates under the title of Maggie Orth Studios.
