Description

The International Education Finance Corporation (IEFC) was established to fill a major void in education financing programs for international students. IEFC partners with the premier international loan guarantee agencies and lenders to make innovative, low cost education loans available to the thousands of students seeking the international education experience.

Dwight Peterson, formerly Senior Vice President of The Education Resource Institute (TERI) of Boston, an education loan guarantor, founded and is now President of IEFC. While at TERI, Mr. Peterson was contacted by select foreign schools who were seeking financial assistance for their growing US student populations. He then developed the International Student Loan Program (ISLP) to meet this need, and has worked to expand IEFC ever since. Over the last seven years, IEFC has assisted more than 20,000 students finance their international education.

Lauren Loughman joined IEFC in 1998, and works as the Director of Customer Service. Lauren has lead efforts to improve and expand our services, tailoring our efforts to meet the unique needs of the international student.
