I cy Splash Food and Beverage, Inc. started as the producer and distributor of Icy Splash - a clear, carbonated, all-natural, fruit-flavored drink. Initially the drink was offered locally but in a short period of time it was positioned as a 'new age' and 'alternative' beverage finding its way on the shelves of major supermarket chains such as A&P and Waldbaum’s, local supermarkets, and grocery and convenience stores throughout New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
W ithin a few years the company strengthened its operation and structure. More items were added transforming the distribution operation into an independent business unit, paralleling the wholesale unit. The Wholesale unit of the Icy Splash drink continues to engage and coordinate major distributors and reach customers throughout the North East.
T he simplicity and effectiveness of managing the two business units created our current business thinking. The organization structure we have adopted is a group of autonomous and efficiently run business units, each with its own ownership structure, business plans, capital investment, and investor and P&L reports. The units are supported by one management team that provides the required infrastructure, while developing, and coordinating the units’ synergies.
