Description
The Vantagepoint Public Employee Memorial Scholarship Fund Board of Directors recently approved the 2006/2007 scholarships to be awarded to 32 surviving children or spouses of public sector employees who have died in the line of duty. Applications for the 2007/2008 Scholarships will be accepted beginning January 1, 2007.
House and Senate negotiators reached agreement on a bill which includes provisions that extend the current reduced tax rates on capital gains and dividends. It also increases the threshold for those obligated to pay an alternative minimum tax and eliminates the income limitations for Roth IRA Conversions.
ICMA-RC's president and chief executive officer will mark the 25th Annual National Peace Officers’ Memorial Service in ceremonies with President George W. Bush and Chuck Canterbury, president of the National Fraternal Order of Police.
