Description
In December 1999 I attended the 1st International Conference on Ibogaine, held in New York by the New York University. In January 2000 I`ve conducted my first ibogaine sessions with Karl Naeher, an experienced ibogaine treatment provider. Then in spring of the same year I`ve treated on my own my first addicts. The results were so overwhelming that I decided to dedicate myself to the ibogaine full time, which I`m doing till today.
Before I started to treat addicts I knew virtually nothing about addiction. Maybe like most of the population I though that once the chemical dependency is beaten then the problem is over. Soon I realized that that`s not the case. That addiction includes more than just the chemical dependency. It`s a pity, ibogaine otherwise could be almost 100% effective in beating addiction…
Not enough
Nowadays addicts, in case they`re lucky enough to get to know somehow about ibogaine, trust the given information, understand the information enough to get a clear picture, put together enough money for an ibogaine session + airfare, still get only half the work done because either cannot realize the importance of the second treatment or don`t have the money for it. The obvious result is a higher rate of relaps among these individuals, because the work wasn´t over yet.
