We have greatly enjoyed working with Interactive Media and are thrilled with our new website. Interactive Media has been extremely professional, responsive to our particular needs, as well as very creative in producing and designing the site. In the early 1990s before the web was "all the rage," Dianne Johnson served as an integral player on the Research and Development team at NYNEX (currently known as Verizon) - the first Regional Bell Operating Company (RBOC) to deliver yellow pages advertising to customers electronically through NYNEX Interactive Yellow Pages.

Bound by judicial regulations which prohibited the Baby Bells from delivering advertising across interstate boundaries, the team set up an intra-state model in New York "way back" in 1993. Using the subscriber-only online service known as Prodigy, the team was able to deliver NYNEX advertisers' messages to consumers electronically for the first time ever. When restrictions were lifted, the work was moved from Prodigy to the world-wide web and NYNEX Interactive Yellow Pages was renamed Big Yellow at www.bigyellow.com, the internet's leading yellow pages. Today, the name "Big Yellow" is no longer used, but Verizon's Super Pages has taken life. Still visible, however, is the solid foundation and hard work that the team established when pioneering this venue for NYNEX.
